Who Are The Dingoes

The Dingo (Canis lupus dingo): is a free-ranging dog found mainly in Australia, who's habitat ranges from deserts to grasslands and the edges of forests.

The dingo is the largest terrestrial predator and for many Australians, the dingo is a cultural icon.

The Alice Springs Dingoes are a Golden Oldies Rugby Union side, hailing from the centre of Australia. The Dingoes origins lie with our members playing club rugby with and against each other, in the local Central Australian rugby union and rugby league competitions.

Over the years, our player and membership base has expanded to literally cover the four corners of the globe, but we are grounded and focused not only on those who regularly pull the boots on for a bit of a gallop and a giggle, but also in contributing to our respective communities.

We are proud to welcome all participants, who may posess a variety of athletic skills and sporting abilities, but subscribing to the Golden Oldies ethos of "Fun, Friendship & Frivolity", is what we're all about.

As always, we are eternally grateful for the efforts of others, in allowing us the ability to participate in the sport that we have loved for many years. In saying that, feel free to contact us if you would like to contribute in any way thay you choose ..... player, supporter, sponsor, official or committee member - all are welcome.

Our website is just a taste of who we are and what the Dingoes are about. C'mon and join us ..... as the older we get - the better we were.
